TULSA–The Tulsa men’s soccer team will host #19 UConn in the season finale Friday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
Prior to the game, TU will honor seniors Kurt Gerteisen, Alex Harris, Munashe Raranje, Juan Sanchez and Yoeri Sijbers.
Tulsa has a 5-9-2 mark this season, including a 1-1-2 mark against ranked opponents. Gilles Kuhler and Joe Ruiz both have a team-best four goals, while Chase Bromstedt and Juan Sanchez each have three scores, and Harris Partain has two goals. Cooper Clark has played 871:01 in goal for a 1.45 GAA, a 0.714 saves percentage, 35 saves and one shutout, while Bryson Reed has played 662:24 in goal for a 1.22 GAA, a 0.795 saves percentage and 35 saves.
UConn has a 10-3-2 record this season, including a 3-1-2 mark in conference games. The Huskies are is ranked #19 by College Soccer News, and #20 by both the United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer. Abdou Mbacke Thiam has a team-best 12 goals, six assists and 30 points on the season, while Dayonn Harris has tallied four goals. Austin Aviza has played the majority of minutes in goal, including all of conference play, for a 0.95 GAA, a 0.698 saves percentage, 30 saves and four clean sheets.
The Huskies have a 4-1-3 lead in the all-time series with the Golden Hurricane, including a 1-0 decision last year in Storrs, Connecticut.
