SWOSU soccer opens ranked No. 17

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches has released the association’s national preseason rankings for men’s and women’s teams in all divisions of NCAA and junior college competition, as well as the upcoming fall season of boys and girls high school soccer.

Following their historic 2017 run to the Great American Conference Tournament Championship and Central Region final, the Bulldogs grabbed the 17th spot in the national preseason rankings. SWOSU was the only GAC team to make the list and they were one of three from the Central Region who will start the season in the national rankings.

SWOSU brings back six all-conference players from last year’s team including All-American forward Alimata Rabo who will be in her third year with the program. The Bulldogs will begin their 2018 campaign on Aug. 30 against the defending National Champion and top-ranked Central Missouri at the SWOSU Athletic Complex.
