Shippy to compete in USA Softball International Cup

Former OSU softball player Vanessa Shippy will compete in USA Softball International Cup

STILLWATER– Former Oklahoma State softball standout Vanessa Shippy will compete at next week’s USA Softball International Cup as a member of the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch squad.

The event, which is hosted by USA Softball of Southern California, will take place June 9-15 at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, California.

Shippy concluded her collegiate career in 2018 and graduated from Oklahoma State as one of the program’s most decorated players. During her time in Stillwater, she earned three All-America and Academic All-America honors and was twice named the Big 12 Player of the Year.

The Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, native also became the first Cowgirl to be drafted in the National Pro Fastpich College Draft during head coach Kenny Gajewski‘s tenure when she was selected 11th overall by the Cleveland Comets.
