Oklahoma fishing report 6-13-18

This Bighead Carp is an important reminder to anglers to obey shad collecting regulations in areas with invasive Asian Carp. If you accidentally transport juvenile Asian Carp they can grow into a giant like this and produce over 1,000,000 eggs. This female’s ovaries weighed over 7 pounds!

Arcadia: June 8. Elevation above normal, water 82 and stained. Channel and blue catfish good on cut bait, punch bait and shrimp along the river channel. Largemouth bass slow on crankbaits around points. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure, docks and rocks. Report submitted by Mark Murray, game warden stationed in Oklahoma County. Five NCAA Tournament teams highlight 2018 Tulsa women’s soccer slate
