NORMAN– University of Oklahoma head women’s golf coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell and Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione announced the Sooners’ 2018-19 tournament schedule Monday.
The Sooners will participate in nine regular-season events before hosting both the Big 12 Championship and an NCAA Regional.
“We put together another great schedule for the team and are excited for the season to get going,” said Drouin-Luttrell. “Once again, we’re hosting the Schooner Fall Classic in September at Belmar Golf Club and we’ll need the help of Sooner Nation for volunteers. We have one of the best tournament field in the country and we’re looking forward to showcasing the best in collegiate golf right here in Norman. One of the most exciting elements of schedule is that we’ll be playing in Oklahoma three times on three different courses.”
Oklahoma opens the season at the Minnesota Invitational in Woodbury, Minnesota, on Sept. 10 and 11 at Prestwick Golf Course. The Sooners then return home for the sixth-annual Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 28-30.
Hosted in partnership with the Toby Keith Foundation at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman, the Schooner Fall Classic continues to be one of the premiere regular-season tournaments in college golf. Five of the 15 teams in this year’s field qualified for the 2018 NCAA Championships.
