NSU men’s soccer ranked #17 in poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northeastern State men’s soccer program will open the 2018 season ranked number-17 in the nation according to the United Soccer Coaches’ preseason poll released on Tuesday.

The ranking is up one from their 2017 finish in the poll and their highest since week-7 during the 2015 season.

NSU claimed its second NCAA Central Region crown one season ago and reached the national quarterfinals with a 14-6 overall mark.

In the poll, Northeastern State was the lone MIAA and Central Region representative.

The RiverHawks open its regular season with a neutral site contest against Quincy in Springfield, Missouri.
