Cowgirls lose exhibition opener
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In its lone preseason exhibition match of 2018, Oklahoma State took a 2-1 loss against Missouri Friday night at Swope Soccer Village.

The Tigers scored a pair of second-half goals to claim the victory as Skye Kingsley found the back of the net in the 59th and 83rd minutes to lift Mizzou.

OSU tallied its lone score prior to intermission. Jaci Jones delivered a shot that was saved by MU goalie Mercedes Sapp, but freshman Grace Yochum was there to tap in the loose ball to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead.

Missouri finished with a 14-10 advantage in shots, and both teams had seven shots on frame. Dani Greenlee played all 90 minutes in goal for OSU and posted a game-high five saves.

The Cowgirls open the regular season Thursday at Tulsa before their home opener on Aug. 19 against Oklahoma at the newly constructed Neal Patterson Stadium.
