ATHENS – Freshman Isaac Likekele led five Oklahoma State players in double figures as the Cowboys closed out their European tour with a 93-49 win over a local Greek all-star team.
Likekele posted a team-high 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and added six rebounds and an assist. He was joined in double-figures by fellow freshman Maurice Calloo with 13 points, Lindy Waters with 12 points, Michael Weathers with 11 points and Thomas Dziagwa with 10.
Every Cowboy posted at least two points, a rebound and an assist in earning OSU its second win in two nights. Oklahoma State ended its European tour with a 2-1 record.
The Cowboys turned a 23-14 first quarter lead into a 23-point halftime advantage thanks to six first-half points from Calloo and six first-half boards from Cameron McGriff, who finished with a game-high eight rebounds.
In all, the Cowboys shot 49.3 percent (37-of-75) from the floor on the night and posted 23 assists. Mike Cunningham, Weathers and Dziagwa all recorded four assists each.
OSU is in the middle of a 10-day European tour that includes trips to Venice, Rome and Athens. Prior to the game on Saturday, the Cowboys toured the Parthenon in the heart of ancient Athens.
The Cowboys will finish off the tour with two days of sightseeing and snorkeling. OSU will embark on a pirate tour of the islands around Athens and then have a day at the beach on Monday before returning to Stillwater on Tuesday.
