STILLWATER– For the second straight year, the Oklahoma State women’s golf team placed a Big 12-high three Cowgirls on the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars list.
Chih-Min Chen became the ninth Cowgirl to earn three career All-American Scholar awards. She was joined on the list by two-time honoree Kenzie Neisen and freshman Stephanie Astrup, who was recognized for the first time.
Chen will be a senior in 2018-19 and will have the opportunity to join Pernilla Lindberg and Karin Kinnerud as the only Cowgirls with four All-American Scholar awards.
Twenty one different Cowgirls have now been selected for 45 WGCA All-American Scholar awards, which have some of the most stringent requirements in all of collegiate athletics. To be selected a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA.
In total, 1,011 women’s collegiate golfers across all levels of athletics were recognized by the WGCA. No Big 12 program had more than three golfers on the list.
